The weather turned out to be kinder than expected for our first session of the year by the pond on Saturday 2nd March. Six of us tidied up around the Notice Board and Pocket Park Sign, weeded around the seats and cleared some of the brambles at the bottom of Bentley Close to give the daffodils more space to spread. The Mayor and Mayoress joined us at 3pm and enjoyed a look around the park and viewing the new Pond Dipping Platform funded with a grant from the Councillor Community Fund for Rectory Farm ward, Northampton Town Council (via Town Cllr Keith Holland-Delamere).
Our next session will be this Saturday 6th April, 2-4pm at the top of the park near the Bridleways.
